Hello From Hollie in Long Island

Just wanted to check in as a newly registered member and say hi :D

MischiefMaker if my first Jeep and, if you had seen him a few weeks after I got him, you'd think my goal was building one of the baddest mall crawlers ever (lightbar, angry eye inserts, the works...). I didn't know any better....

I went to my first jeep meet with my local club (Out East Jeeps) about 3 months after picking him up and the amazing Jeepers in that group helped set me straight...

Below are a few pics of his transformation, but he is about to evolve again in to MischiefMaker 3.0 (should be done by late October). I'll put details on his 3.0 transformation in a build thread.

MM 1.0 - 4.5" GC 6Pak Edition, 37" BFG KM2s, BrandMotion Rear View Camera System, Tyger Auto Rocker Protection/step, EAG Bumpers, Rugged Ridge XHD Wheels, sPOD, Smittybuilt x20 Winch, 48" Hi-Lift Jack, DV8 Tire Carrier, ARB Dual Piston Air Compressor, Spicer 5.13 Gear Set, ARB Air Lockers Front/Rear

MM 2.0 - PSC Brawler Lite (Trail Stinger) Front Bumper, Smittybuilt XRC Gen2 Rear Bumper, PSC Rocker Knockers (Frame Mounted), Quadratec Aluminum Skid System, Evo Rockskin Corners (Aluminum), Evo Tire Carrier, Metalcloak Overland Fenders Front & Rear (Aluminum), Half Doors (Aluminum)

Welcome

I would like to have one of these Chief branded Jeeps.

Being a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer, mine would have to be called Retired Chief!

That's a great idea... :haha

They are everywhere. Jeep made over 3,500 of them as special edition Sahara appearance Packages last year. You even have 3 color options Chief, Gobi or Rhino.

Haha. They are my babies. [emoji190][emoji190]

I didn’t break anything too crazy. Just the front ring gear and a rear axle shaft. Could have easily gotten it back on the road already, but I’m keeping focused (mentally and financially) on the new build.

As part of phase 1 of this build I beefed up my stock Sahara axles w/air lockers and 5.13 gears (I know, I know 🤣).

The goal was to get some more experience off-roading and save up for new axles. As I started to take on harder obstacles I knew it was just a matter of time until something went, so we got a trailer.

I’ve been out of commission for about 5 weeks, but there are some VERY beefy parts on the way...should be back up and running in another 5-6 weeks or so.

(And I guess now is as good a day as any to start my build thread on Modern Jeeper - thanks for the unintentional nudge [emoji12]).
