    separating drag link from pitman arm

    Leave the castle nut loosely on the threads. Hold a heavy hammer against one side of the Pitman Arm at the tie rod end and strike the other side with a hammer. A few blows should see the tie rod end drop free but kept from hitting the ground by the castle nut.
