2000 Jeep TJ Squeaking noise

Steve Clark

Jeep Newb
I replaced the front axle U-Joints, test drove it, then flat towed it 120 miles to our trailer at the river. When driving slowly on sand, in or out of 4wd, with or without lockers on, there is a new ‘squeak’ that sort of follows the suspension movements. But… it is only present while under load, ie foot on accelerator (just above idle) Once foot is off accelerator, the squeak stops so it can’t be springs or shocks. I feel like it’s coming from the center of the Jeep like transfer case. I never had this squeak before and don’t really think it has anything to do with replacing U-Joints but that’s the only thing that’s changed. It’s a long shot but any ideas? TIA
