Atlas2 4.3 transfer case upgrade

I currently run a sport 2010 transfer case.
Considering upgrading to the Atlas 4.3
I've upgraded both axles run 4.88 gears and 37 inch tires.
Also a Ripp supercharger.
Just wondering if it's worth the extra cost for the atlas transfer case upgrade.
Worthy upgrade for both rock crawling/ trails and sand/ beach runs.

Any insights on the advantages and justifying the cost of the upgrade?

Currently nothing is wrong with the one I have just wondered if I'd see better performance?

We installed the 3.8 in our 2004 TJ with the 5 speed transmission.
We love it.
We play in the rocks and just got done playing in the dunes.
Many options with an atlas also.

One thing to also consider, is you will have to have your drive shafts resized with the atlas.
The front shaft got shorter, and the rear got longer.

There will be a couple things to look at with going to an atlas and selecting gearing. Auto or Manual?

In general the 4.3 gears are going to be a great option with the 3.8L and 37's with 4.88 gears. It will do better at low speed and using low in the sand might be a little more then you want. If you spend most of your time in the sand the 3.8 might be a better option. Ether way the atlas will hold up a lot better then the stock case.

Great thanks Todd and Expert for the response.
Since I live in Sacramento a lot of my play time will be in the Sierras, local trails with some trips to Pismo and other sand dunes or deserts.
It is Auto.
Looks like I will be getting the install then in August. Most likely the 4.3 but I will give it some thought on the 3.8 being a better option.
It was suggested when I get the install I will need my drive shafts modified and have SCT (For my Ripp Supercharger) write a program for my tuner to accommodate the Atlas.

Actually with being in the Sacramento area I would almost want to lean you to the 4.3 because of the local terrain. The 3.8L has the RPM to make the fewer trips to the sand work out. ( we did the 4.3 in our red JK )
