EVAP canister relocation

I bought the MC EVAP canister relocation kit but I have not yet installed it after reading here how people were getting errors.

My question(s) now is;

How many people here have installed it and did you get any errors?

The best advice I read was to keep it level in its OEM position while performing the relocation.

Thanks in advance-

I have not relocated mine, but I have taken mine out to try and "re-seal" it. I know that you have to put the big connector in the north and south position or you will get an error. I have got to relocate mine before I get a new one. its all beat to hell.

The EVAP kit is the only thing left in the garage to install at this point, for better or worse I think I'll be doing mine soon. I spent this week going over my lift and steering installs (loosening and retorqueing on the ground) and finally getting the exhaust spacers in.

I did the MC kit in mine and didn't get any codes. I had the canister out and on the workbench every which way when I clocked the connector. I did pick up a 1/2" 90 for the larger plastic hose because it started to kink when I tried to connect it. So far so good!

So I put my relocation kit in on Sunday. Somehow I managed to break one of the male fittings off. So now I get to buy a new one....write up on my mistake coming soon.

Your putting it nicely....they are an absolute nightmare. It needs to be done anyhow. I crushed it a couple years ago and just covered it JB Weld to make it work...;)

Too true! I never did find the smaller plastic keeper after I pried it out with a small screwdriver, lol. Found a Ford fuel line clip in the garage that was close enough to work. They could have oriented those things down instead of up against the body!(n)
